Bill and I were actually pushing an envelope of wind in front of us which
triggered the storms. Sorry, hope we didn't hurt anyone. Great weekend,
unbelieveable riding and great company (twisties and beers and food and
scotch....repeat....repeat). Our last 220 miles were taken pretty easy as a
friendly Harley rider walking by my bike noticed a shiny quarter inch shard of
metal in my rear tire (when he walked in the restaurant and said "WHO'S GOT THE
BIMER?" I thought either my fuel cell was on fire or he was about to kick my
ass. Upon inspection, I found a second nail about 4 inches from the first (must
have been that hardware store we rode thru after overcooking a corner). Anyway,
we figured a long narrow shard was unpluggable if removed so we rode on,
stopping every sixty miles to spit on the nails and check tire pressure.
